Norway with Sweden and Denmark from Marco Polo Travel Publishing is a map with prominent highlighting of interesting locations, enlargements for the environs of Oslo and Bergen, an index booklet with city maps and brief descriptions of 15 selected top sights, etc.

The map divides Norway and Sweden north/south, with the southern side extending to Trondheim; on the northern side of the map the area around Trondheim and the north-easternmost part of Norway are shown as insets. Road network includes selected minor roads and local tracks, highlights scenic roads and designated tourist routes, shows intermediate driving distances on main and secondary roads, and indicates motorway filling stations and truck stops, toll stations, mountain pass closures, caravan and vehicle restrictions, gradients, border crossings, etc. Railway lines, ferry routes and local airports are included, as well as administrative divisions with names of the provinces.

Locations of interest are prominently highlighted, with separate coloring for towns or villages and for natural sites. National parks and other protected areas are marked. Symbols highlight locations of campsites, youth hostels, isolated hotels, etc. Topography is shown by relief shading and spot heights, with names of mountain ranges, valleys, etc. Latitude and longitude lines are drawn at 30’ intervals. Enlargements present the environs of Bergen and Oslo in greater detail. Multilingual map legend includes English.

A separate booklet attached to the map cover includes an index which also lists national parks, UNESCO World Heritage sites, airports and amusement parks. The booklet also contains brief descriptions of 15 most interesting locations prominently highlighted on the map, plus street plans of Bergen, Oslo, Stavanger and Trondheim. A fold-out flap in the cover shows for route planning an overview of the whole area covered by the map plus the adjacent regions, prominently highlighting main places of interest, with the grid reference system in the margins making it easier to find locations on the main map. Also included are a distance/driving times table and basic driving regulations.
